Hello everybody.
I am trying to find a way to create "stick fonts" in inkscape. I'm incorporating text into some designs that I cut with my CNC machine.
Right now I end up with paths around the text that end up creating an "island." Just create some text and make it a path and you will see what I'm talking about.
I have seen the Hersey text extension but there are only a few single strock fonts and it seems to use rough linear interpolations not suitable for larger cuts.
Is there some feature I'm not aware of?
Thank you very much!

You are looking for Hershey text, should be available in 0.91.
Other than that, there are some similar topics here, like this.
Good luck!

Note to self, would be nice converting this to Hershey text sometime.
