Conversion of image totall fails (0.91 to 0.92)

Postby prino » Thu Feb 28, 2019 3:39 am

The title says it all, and no amount of clicking checkboxes upon opening the file works, all text comes out as one long line.

There is no text in that file... Maybe you uploaded the wrong one? This file contains only circles.

Actually the title does not say it all.

Does this part "(0.91 to 0.92)" mean that you're trying to upgrade? Or you're trying to open an image you made with 0.91 in 0.92 ?

What kind of conversion are you attempting? Raster to vector, object to path (or text to path), SVG to PDF, something else? Hmmmm....

all text comes out as one long line

Are you trying to use flowed text -- put the text inside a shape?

Brynn, the user opened a file from 0.91 in 0.92, and selected different options in the unit conversion dialog. Text that was in the file turned into one single long line.

However, the example file given contains no text at all, so we cannot test or make suggestions.

Yes, mind was not clear after a severe bout of flu. I uploaded the wrong file. The right one is attached here, shows OK in (about) every browser, and Inkscape 0.91 r13725, but fails miserably in 0.92.4 (which has now been replaced again by 0.91) And yes, the font will be not the one that's in the file, I don't expect a lot of people to own Cubiculum (an old typewriter font).

Apologies for the mistake.

FWIW, it opens within reason in Inkscape 0.92.2 (5c3e80d, 2017-08-06), 64 bit win8.1

Substituted font with "Liberation Mono".
Have a nice day.

I'm using Inkscape 0.92.2 (5c3e80d, 2017-08-06), 64 bit win8.1

Yeah, the same happens to me with this file. I'm using 0.92.3 on Ubuntu.

I get the same problem, on: Inkscape 0.92.4, Inkscape 0.92.x, Inkscape master.
