This is a read-only archive of the inkscapeforum.com site. You can search for info here or post new questions and comments at It's my first time doing anything in Inkscape, so I've gotten stuck a few times, but in the end, I got something that looked as I wanted it.
But I've encountered a problem. The 'O' of the text is supposed to be 'cut off' by the circle of the background. It's fine when on the white as the rest of the O doesn't show up, but, since it is a logo, I want to put it on other backgrounds too. So - I've transformed the text to a path and tried the path funcions (difference especially), but it doesn't seem to work (might've been doing something wrong lol).
So - how can I cut off the O, so when I export it with a transparent background and try to put it on coloured backgrounds the rest of it doesn't show up.
