Is there a way to make a line with rounded edges like this?

I need a way to make it without so much work since the whole drawing will be made using only rounded lines.
I can't just do rounded shapes since some details of the drawing are going to be single lines.

Set round cap style and it should work.
(If that is supposed to be a two-noded path with one segment only, stroke set and no fill.)
