Quick Palette!

I just made 22 palettes as I needed. I thought I could share them here... Or no!? :?:

To install palettes and see them available in Inkscape, copy them to: ~/.config/inkscape/palettes/

How they look like, not all of them but you can understand the range:

There is no code written for this. But a code can be written to generate them.

I just do not know how to do it.

You entered all those values by hand! Even more impressive!

I have some old python code for generating palettes lurking around if you are interested.

Hi @BluKnight! Would you consider also sharing your palettes at https://inkscape.org, in the gallery?

You can upload them at
https://inkscape.org/gallery/upload/ , then select the correct category, and after uploading, it would be available in the corresponding gallery category:

OK, I did it. After several trials.

I think there's something to be fixed/improved on that page. It is hard to upload, I had to change palette file extension to "txt" for it to get accepted... That after I found the upload file button, lol.

Yes, I noticed that the name of the file was weird, so it seemed you had to rename it. Only recently, someone helped us add some new functionality, that evaluates the form before one can send it to the server. It still has some rough edges.

I've created a bug report, where I'm asking about how to fix - I'm not a javascript person, but I know how it works and what to do with the answer I will get. Thanks for the feedback! Off Topic!

I've noticed lately when people are addressing another member, they put @ in front of their name. (Like Moini did above.) I'm curious why the @ ("at" sign) is needed. Why isn't someone's username, by itself, enough?

I did a little searching on the internet, but must not have found the right place that explains it.

In some forums, and other sites when you put the "@" symbol before the username the site will interpret as you are talking to that person, then the person get notified as their name was mentioned and special formatting will be done as well in some cases.

If I remember correctly, "youtube", "twitter", and "xenforo" do such thing; as an example. Then people started getting used to it.

(@brynn: gitlab works like that, too - so when you create a bug report or ask a question there, and write @Moini or @doctormo, we'll get a message, even if we aren't subscribed to that specific part).

I liked the idea of organizing colors by hue. Then I decided to pick some colors to make these palettes. Obviously, not all palettes are shown in here.

Those "tables" may be useful when creating smaller palettes for my "drawings".

Colors are named and organized in this way:

I display them in GIMP, as the palette editor there displays them in columns as seen here. Not sure if InkScape has something like that.

There are about 360 palettes (360 hues), with about 625 colors each.
