There's a file I've been working on, and for some odd reason when I try to open it now I get an error message with the header 'Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Error', and then it tells me 'this application has requested the Runtime to close it in an unusual way'
Is there a way I can provide more information as to why it would be doing this so I can possibly recover the file. I've put a lot of work into it and I REALLY don't want to start from scratch, but I'm not entirely sure how to provide more information than what I've already given here. If someone could tell me how to log what happens when this file tries to load and post it here so that people have an easier time trying to help I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem for me.

Re: Microsoft visual C++ runtime library error
I opened the file on linux and although it renders a bit slow because it's a complex drawing I see no problems, I was able to open it and close it.
Maybe your preferences.xml got corrupted, try to rename that file and start Inkscape, you'll get the default Inkscape preferences so you'll have to tweak them again but maybe Inkscape will work. Reinstalling after removing the preferences.xml might be the second option. I assume Inkscape worked on the same machine before and stopped working for apparently no reason.
BTW awesome drawing!

Re: Microsoft visual C++ runtime library error
Doesn't open in Inkscape 0.48 for Windows either? As far as I understood upgrading to 0.48 solved your problem:OmegaMan wrote:.48, I have the file up for download here if that helps:
