Latest photo-realism. Worked on and off for about 6 months! The hair took soooooo long.

OMG, fantastic work!
The hair is amazing :o Also really nice blending of the skin colors. Did you have much trouble with slowdowns or crashes?
Wow, very well done :D

Thank you, Brynn, you're always too kind! The filters tend to slow Inkscape down quite a bit. The skin blending is all the blur filter. If I hid those layers, it wasn't very slow at all. Near the end of the project I discovered the feature that lets you view with filters off (I feel dumb because I knew it was there, but I forgot about it), so I used that quite a bit at the end. With filters off, it was pretty darn fast! Also, for the hair I didn't use the :tool_calligraphic: tool (like I used to), I used the :tool_pen: tool, so each piece/strand of hair was only a few nodes. On previous projects I've used the :tool_calligraphic: tool, and unless you simplify your paths, you end up with hundreds of nodes per strand of hair. And props to the Inkscape team because on latest release I haven't experienced a single crash!

Congrats for the effort. I love making realistic stuff so i know how time consuming they are.
Hoping to see more in the future. :)

Great looking job, blending is outstanding. I don't have the patience for a project like this.
