I am printing to an Epilog Legend 6000 engraver and am getting erratic behavior. I can print from one workstation just fine with one exception I will describe later. From any other workstation I get ghost images, sizing problems, and/or a rectangle of dots as a faint background. I originally thought it was a driver problem, but I can print to PDF from the “working” PC and successfully print that file from any other PC. Similarly, I can print to PDF from another PC and it exhibits the same behavior even if I print it from the working PC. I thought I must have made a setting change on the one PC so I copied the preferences.xml from the working PC to the others with no success. Another odd thing is that when I first installed Inkscape on my machine, it worked perfect. It is now one of the many that I cannot get working.
I have also just found a problem with the working PC. I had been able to get the engraver to print in “vector” mode by setting the line width to .001 inches per the instructions in the printer. All of a sudden, that is not working anymore. For what it is worth, the printer driver was set up as a TCP/IP port using LPR, but I get the same behavior printing with an LPT port. The working PC uses either a shared printer or a locally installed printer using the same port.
