Hi, sorry for my english, I'm french !
I'm a new Inkscape user.
I tried to draw a bicycle by drawing on a jpeg picture imported.
I draw some pieces (parts) but for some of them, it's impossible to move order-z : either this object is front or is back ! Impossible to move just one level.
Is someone can help me ?
Thanks.
Object order-z problem
Re: Object order-z problem
Hi.
Probably that's somewhere at the wheel and fork?
For a general workaround, check this article:

Re: Object order-z problem
Without seeing the file, it's hard to guess what's happening. Have you Grouped anything? If you put 2 or more objects in a Group, it behaves as 1, and you can't move another object between the pieces.
You can attach your file, if you'd like us to look at it.

Re: Object order-z problem
Hi, I attached my file. I changed some colors to be more clear.
As you can see, I can't move easely the yello, blue and red sticks.
For the front gear, it's the same problem : impossible to move above the red stick...
Where is the problem ?
Just an indication : to the bars, I used the tool bezier curve
tool then "conour to way".
Thanks for your help...

Re: Object order-z problem
The problem was the red object was on the root layer, while the others on layer 1.
Now they are all on one layer:
All objects were selected, then cut (Ctrl+X) and placed in position (Ctrl+Alt+V).
