scribble - really freely

Postby Ryan Hart » Thu Aug 07, 2014 8:04 pm

Hi!
I bought me a wacom bamboo sort of tablet.
I wanna use it for drawing - I mean really drawing like scribbling.
there is this pencil tool :tool_pencil:

I can reduce the smoothing down to 1

but

when I scribblle it still draws circles or lines automatically sometimes.

Is there a way to get rid of that?
like reducing the smoothing to 0?

Greets,

Welcome aboard!

Probably the pencil tool is switched to spiro-mode, change it back to regular at the tool's control bar.
Also keep in mind that this tool comes with a pattern along path live path effect.
You can use various pen shapes, or simply remove the effect in the path effect editor panel.

Hi Lazur!
Yes, you are right.
I first used :tool_pencil: with the bezier mode - than it made lines.
so I changed it to the spiro-mode and reduced the smoothing to 1.

But - maybe I first forgot to reduce the smoothing of the bezier mode -
now I did that and it works better.

so as you said I use :tool_pencil: in bezier mode and reduced the smoothing to 1

(but it says it does not use any path-effects right now)

ehm sorry  , thanks
