Hi, and welcome again (I replied to your other topic first)!
I'm sure you'll love Inkscape. The best way to start is to jump right in! Please make Help menu > Inkscape manual (and other items in Help menu) your friend. Plus there are some tutorial sites in my signature, which are extremely helpful as well. But if you get stuck, we're here to help. So please don't hesitate to post in the Help forum, if you need to
