I had recently updated my Intel/HD graphics driver to a newer version, and now my Bamboo Tablet is having trouble with the tablet-to-screen scaling, which happens whenever I open up image-editing clients. Adobe Photoshop and the default paint program are not affected, but it occurs everywhere else. I tried rolling back/unistalling any possible updates and changes made to my software/drivers,and even performed a system restore, but this error still persists.
*Upon opening a client, it shrinks the tablet area into a small region towards the top-left corner of the screen.
*I tried re-opening clients under a smaller screen rez to see what would happen. The results are still the same.
Here's an image showing the area

"System Restore" -- must be Windows? Which Inkscape version?

Think it's...0.48
Re: Bamboo tablet scaling problems
check the preferences in the control panel. there should be a bamboo preferences thing installed. and in those preferences you can choose if the tablet maps dimensions 1:1 or if it maps proportionally to whole screen.
Re: Bamboo tablet scaling problems
I tried that, but it winds up snapping back into place.
Re: Bamboo tablet scaling problems
also...make sure to fully unload old driver and programs that come with it, and download install latest. the drivers that come with the tablet on the cd are typically outdated when you buy it.
i take it you already did a web search for the graphics card model name/number together with the words bamboo.
also would take a look at any options in the graphics card settings control panel, to make sure there's no scaling or multi monitor type setting turned on by default (unless you have multiple monitors.) but in any case, maybe just a full unload/reload of latest tablet drivers might fix it. maybe the graphics card driver updates some part of the graphics subsystem in windows which disagrees with the tablet driver.
