Texts when drawing a line

Postby ikesho » Thu Sep 30, 2010 1:52 am

When a line is drawn :tool_pencil: and after the reticle x is moved, texts seems appears near the reticle x.
The texts might indicate the position or distance from the initial point of the line drawing, but only what I can see is series of squares, like this "[][][][][] [][][][][]."

I am using Inkscape in Japanese mode, so the character set might difference from the English or other languages modes. The default font for these text might not installed to my system.

Would anyone teach me how to change the font for the texts accompanied to the reticle.
Or, how to fix this problem.

With the "reticle x" you probably mean the snap indicator, right? That's the x occurring right where Inkscape snapped, with some text besides it e.g. "Cusp node to grid".

I don't know what's going on though if you get the rectangles instead of the squares. Have you seen this working properly on any other system in Japanse mode?
