Newbie help with rectangles

Postby Tinkertaylor » Mon Nov 06, 2017 8:13 am

Hi all.
Im sorry if this has been asked before, but i have spent hours loking for an answer and cant find one.

I have recently started a business which involves cutting out a lot of rectangles.
When i started is used signcut 2 free trial. This trial ended and i bought a version of signcut one.
My files with text open fine and cut fine.
My rectangles wont open.
Its driving me mad.
Having looked at shape properties. All text are converted to paths, but i cannot convert rectangles to paths. The always remain as rect.
Is there any way to convert rectangles to paths? Ive tried clicking the object path, but it doesnt work.
Thanks,
Ben

Seems odd... usually no problem.

Can you attach a sample file for examination?
Have a nice day.

I'm using Inkscape 0.92.2 (5c3e80d, 2017-08-06), 64 bit win8.1

The Inkscape manual has lots of helpful info! http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/

Maybe they are clones, or perhaps grouped? Have you looked into the status line to see what kind of object you are dealing with?
Something doesn't work? - Keeping an eye on the status bar can save you a lot of time!
