[solved] Fill overlapping outside of object

Postby Yata » Tue Mar 18, 2008 4:39 am

Hello,

I noticed sometimes when I fill an object, it dosen't just fill within the lines, but fills over and 'spills out'. I'd like to make a vine design, but to do this, I need to be able to use the pencil tool to make the lines, use the node tool to morph it, group it, and lastly filling it in with white.

Here's a screenshot after filling in one of the grouped 'vines'.

Thank you.

You should use Path > Union on your 2 pencil objects instead of grouping them (you will get one object that way), then apply white fill to it.
