I thought I had seen an Off-Topic forum topic here, but can't seem to find it. Maybe it was in another forum? Anyway, now it's official!

I've just been wondering if InkscapeForum.com would benefit from having a forum for Off-Topic discussions? I can see how it could get out of hand, for sure. But I guess what I'm thinking is that it would help to build community.

In some ways, it's nice that all the topics posted are strictly about Inkscape. On the other hand though, we never get to know each other personally. And I guess I sort of miss that, compared to other forums I've participated in. Although only a few of them have been graphics forums. So I realize that the subject of the forum/website heavily influences its nature.

But I really think InkscapeForum.com could benefit from a little sparkling of its memebers' personalities. And an Off-Topic forum would be one means to that end.

So anyway, it's just a thought

I've intended to create an off topic forum a few times, but extreme lazi-ness has deterred me. Since someone has now asked for one I should make the tiny effort
