Now I met a problem when drawing a map with Inkscape 0.47. I draw two open paths, and I wanna connect two endnodes of two different open paths into one path, so I can get a closed path. I've tried path combine and group command, but the output is not what i want.
What I want is I can select any choosen endnodes, then use some command to connect them directly. But it seemed there is no such command in Inkscape now, I can only select one node at a time, any one can help me to solve this problem, please?
How to join two nodes of two open paths?
Re: How to join two nodes of two open paths?
First you combine the two objects into one so it's a one object with two subpaths. Then you're able to select 2 end nodes and use the button on the Node toolbar to join them.
In 0.48 it will be possible to do that without combining into a single object first.

Re: How to join two nodes of two open paths?
Great,It works! Thank you!
As you said, in 0.48 we will be select any two nodes together whatever it is belonged to one path or two paths? If so, Inkscape would be more convenient! But before that I think the manual maybe should add "how to join two different paths nodes", cause I've checked many website about Inkscape before, they are mostly discuss about one path condition.

By definition, you can't join the nodes of two different paths. They have to be combined into one path first.

Awesome! This will make Inkscape much easier for novices to use/learn.
