How do I create flat text

Postby unterwasser » Sun Feb 05, 2012 11:32 pm

Hi, newbie here I'm trying to create a text effect where the text appears flat, much as the text in the poster for 'The Adjustment Bureau' . Image

Had a look at the forums and couldn't find anything. Can it be done in Inkscape and if so how?

You want the perspective extension. There is a great deal of material on the forum about how to use it, and probably some posts refering quite precisely to the use you want to make of it. :D
Your mind is what you think it is.

ditto what Druban said, perspective is the way to go. There are some tutorials on how to do it too, you can google Learning Digital Designs site (there are others that are just as good, but I can't think of others names, lol). Go under Inkscape, then look for Perspective. good luck, and be sure to come back and post your completed text so we can see it!

Thanks for the replies. Will have a look at the tutorials. Don't hold your breath waiting for me to post the finished text though. :-)
