i am New to inkscape
i really enjoy working in inkscape however a lot of people i work with use illustrator:(
when i create work in inkscape and save it as an .ai or import a SVG into illustrator most of the effects are lost
I really need a way to be able to keep the blur effects on my shapes when i import or export stuff to illustrator/PDF's
is there a way yet? or are there other formats that i can save as and then import into ai?

Use devel version, it exports blurs as bitmaps into PDF.
