i have started using the clipping tool and it has worked well for me, though i have encountered a problem. after clipping an image and saving it as an svg, i usually also save it as a png. the problem is that when saved as a png, all that comes up is whiteness, nothing else. the picture is completely blank. this only happens when i clip images, and though it looks fine when i open the image to edit as an svg in inkscape, when i try to view it as a png it shows nothing. is there a way to fix this and has anyone else encountered the same problem? help! thanks.

How are you doing the export? Don't use Save as... dialogue and Cairo PNG. use the Export dialogue and choose appropriate area to export. Maybe your drawing is outside the Page area...
