This is my setup:
Inkscape .48 on Windows 7 x64

I've tried the red button intro tutorial (http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL ... utton.html) and found the following problems when it comes to adding the text and using it with script.

1) There is no <tspan> element for me to label as "Text"

2) The text is not visible when the button is viewed in the browser unless I do Object to Path, but if I do that the "Text" object isn't available to script. I tried with several fonts, all of which are available on my computer (i.e. as noted in this page: Top
