White (transparent) letters on a colored background?
White (transparent) letters on a colored background?
This is probably really easy, but I haven't stumbled across how to do it yet: I need to print a decal on white decal paper , background color is red, with white (transparent) letters. I have been able to type a text on a red background and convert the letters to white, but the letters that I have to use have been modified and whenever I draw the background, I cannot get it behind the letters. This may have something to do with layers, I have been fiddling with them but don't have it right , yet. Help, please!

Hi.
You can move up and down objects in the z order with PgUp-PgDown, raise to top with Home and lower to the bottom with End.
Probably that will solve the problem.
(Grouping of the objects can be a bit confusing on it, and as you mentioned converting the text,
the object to path option came into my mind, which produces a group of the characters.
Even that with only two objects, a text and a rectangle should work.)
