Inkscape 0.47-3 crashes on Windows 7 x64 when opening some pdf files. Error noted is in libfontconfig-1.dll. The same pdf files opened fine with Inkscape on OSX or Windows 7 x86. Not sure what the problem is, but can be fixed. Replacing libfontconfig-1.dll with the most version from Gimp 2.6.7 for windows solves the problem. libexpat-1.dll also has to be moved over from the same source. Note that the dates for libfontconfig-1.dll in Inkscape and Gimp are 5/8/08 and 8/13/09, respectively.

It could be that an earlier version of the 0.47 prereleases was built with older developer libraries, but AFAIK Inkscape 0.47pre4 and Inkscape 0.47 have been built with the newest available win32 versions of the ported libraries. If you still get the same error when opening one of those files in the just released Inkscape 0.47 - please consider filing a report and attaching a sample PDF file, so that it can be tested with different configurations to figure out what causes the crash.
