inkscape convert png to svg, include image data?

Hi guys,

I'm using inkscape to convert a file from png format to svg format which is working but I need the image included within the svg file. It is within a script, so no gui. Which option do I use to include the image data within the svg file? Right now is using a link.

$ inkscape --verb-list | grep embed
