I made a clone but I can't get it to be a different color than the source. I redd somewhere that I have to unset the color of the source object. But I can't get Google to even use the word "unset!"

Can anyone tell me what to do?



If possible, please tell me where to find stuff you might suggest. My eyesight is poor and I'm severely dyslexic.

Edit → Clone → Unlink Clone (Shift+Alt+D): Remove link between clone and original object. Clone will no longer update when original object is modified.

You can simply set the color of the original to "Unset" then you'll be able to independently adjust the clone color.
