0.47 screenshots required for inkscape.org

Postby prokoudine » Thu Jul 30, 2009 9:42 pm

Heya,

While 0.47 is slowly coming, amount of screenshots demonstrating really cool use of the new features is rather frustrating. So we need submissions for the 0.47 screenshots section.

Rules are pretty simple: a screenshot should clearly illustrate advances of one or several new features from 0.47 and have a short text description. http://inkscape.org/screenshots/index.php?lang=en&version=0.44 holds probably best examples for both illustrations and descriptions.

Some ideas:

1. Improved snapping - technical illustration?
2. Eraser tool - generic drawing?
3. Spiro curves - art nouveau? typography?
4. Knot LPE - some ubercool celtic knots?
5. SVG filter presets - anything looking cool, really. There are over 150 of them, after all :)

Thanks in advance!

Truly yours,
Inkscape team :) (on behalf of :))

I know it's very modest but with 0.47 guidelines and snapping it went from a potential laborious to really rapid work of about 30 minutes plus some time to trace the contours of the controller. Saved and distributed as PDF. It's a template of Saitek X52 button layout of course.
