[Solved] Convert imported SVG to regular path

Postby jouissance » Thu Jul 30, 2015 10:29 pm

When I import an SVG, I think it imports the path inside a container object. With the object selected, if I switch to the node tool, the nodes don't show up immediately. I have to click the path again to get them to show up. Is there a way to convert it to a plain path so I don't have to do this extra step? Thanks.

Hi.

If you select with the node tool, you can edit grouped objects too.

But if you want to get rid of the grouping, press Shift+Ctrl+G when the group is selected.
Keep an eye to the indication at the bottom, it might be a clipped group and... possibly anything, we can just guess about the file from your description.

Oh thanks. Could've sworn I tried that but I guess not.
