How to snap to handles? (v. 0.48)

Postby tongro » Thu Sep 28, 2017 11:14 pm

Hi.

I can't find any way to snap to a handle. Snapping to handles to nodes is fine, but snapping anything to a handle does not work. I have enabled all the snap options that I can find.

I'm using Inkscape 0.48. Yes, I should upgrade, but I can't do that at the moment.

Does anybody know how I can fix this?

Thanks a lot. :)

Hi.

Try the visualise path-draw handles extension before snapping to it or
add a show handles path effect to the snappig target -with a 0,01 scale factor for a close match; somehow there is no snapp-able node at the centre of the visual cue.

Are you talking about node handles? (Other things are controlled by handles as well -- shapes, patterns, etc.)

Starting I think with 0.91, the shape handles can be snapped to. But even 0.92.2, I don't think anything can snap TO node handles.

You might consider setting up one or two guides, to create a snappable target (when there isn't one).
