Hi. I was recently working on a little inkscape project when I leaned over my keyboard and accidentally pressed a few buttons. Now, when I hover over certain areas, my cursor (as well as the line, of course) snaps into place over a blue 'X' with the text "Hold to cusp node." I'm sure some people find this feature helpful, but I have been finding it very annoying and I want to get rid of it as soon as possible. I actually registered for the sole purpose of asking what this is and how I can make it go away.

You can disable snapping at the snapping control bar -at the top or to the right of the window.
