I remember that you used to be able to press Shift + L while drawing to change the segment you're placing from a curve to a straight line. But it's not working for me now. Is this something that changed in an update? What did the shortcut change to?

I just tried this with Inkscape 0.91 - and there it works inconsistently.
Then I tried with Inkscape 0.92.3, and there it works reliably. Which version have you been using?

Just checked, and it's 0.91. For some reason I was thinking that Inkscape notifies of available updates, but I guess not. I'll update and try again. Thanks!
