I installed version 48 and I can no longer export to signcut productivity pro version 1.07 win.
I am using windows xp.
I uninstalled version 48 (inkscape) and installed version 47 and (and reinstalled export plug-ins in signcut) and I was able to export.
I uninstalled inkscape version 47 and reinstalled version 48 and reinstalled export plug-ins in signcut and I can NOT export to signcut. I have closed both programs and restarted my PC, and still I can not export to signcut. I would really like to upgrade to Inkscape 48 - (I am not having problems with version 47 but want to go to 48. I have to be able to export to sign cut, so if I can not find a solution to this I will have to go back to 47.
I do not get any error message... I actually get the small pop up looking like it is going to export, but it does not work. Sign cut does not open and if signcut is open it does not export the file.
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give on this.
***************************UPDATE*********************************************
Here is what Signcut sent to me:
We do not have plugins released for .48 as Inkscape has changed the way they work. We will not release plugins for .48 until they have done a couple of updates on .48 as we can not devote development time to early versions as they often completely change the way things work several times after a new release.
You may fine a compatible version of Inkscape on our website at http://www.signcutpro.com under the download tab.

I am hoping someone has figured out a way to export to signcut with InkScape .48...
Thanks

Re: Exporting to SignCut using Inkscape .48
I don't know if this would work, but maybe?
-- Have both Inkscape versions 0.47 and 0.48 installed.
-- Do your work in 0.48.
-- When finished, save the file/doc and close.
-- Open with 0.47.
-- Export
If not, be sure to check out the dev versions (which I think are released daily?) now and then: http://inkscape.org/download/?lang=en

Re: Exporting to SignCut using Inkscape .48
sign cut is very basic cheap software - soem get it to work good and most people think it garbage. it was made a long time ago and the person that made it passed and now there is no support for that program.
i would look into getting something else that will work the way you need it to. i used it for a few weeks and then got ride of it quick ( it keept locking up poor support for importsand more problems) and then we ended up getting flexi and now were using linux.
even though it does work in 47 and not 48 not sure what that problem is - try diffrent file formats - i dont remember what formats it can import.

Sorry your wrong about signcut. Signcut is a nicely polished and updated programme for cutting. The programme you are referring too is signblaser - now that is a pile of crap!

Hi JOhn,
You should be able to find it at Sourceforge. Assuming you're also using Windows, I think this is what you're looking for: http://sourceforge.net/projects/inkscap ... cape/0.47/. Otherwise, you can select the proper file from this page: http://sourceforge.net/projects/inkscap ... /inkscape/

why would you bother?
just do the work in 0.48
save it
then open it in signcut - cuts out a step.
signcut can open .svg files from inkscape.

What I suggested was in response to the OP's report that they could NOT export to SignCut.

Hello Im to this. How do i send o file from inkscape to signcut so i can use my plotter to cut out what i need? Thanks
Re: Exporting to SignCut using Inkscape .48
Well, according to one of the replies in this thread, SC accepts SVG files from Inkscape. If that's true, you would save your drawing as Inkscape SVG. Then open it in SC (start SC then look for some kind of Open button).
Edit
I just happened to come across this http://www.signcutpro.com/SignCut-Produ ... ugins.html
