I'm trying to use latex in Inkscape. I installed pstoedit, imagemagick, and tex text. However, every time when I start tex text from |Effects>>tex text, a terrible error message pops up:

pstoedit.exe - Entry point Not Found

?push_back@?$list@VVPath@Magick@@V?$allocator@VVPath@Magick@@@std@@@std@@QAEXABVVPath@Magick@@@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library CORE_RL_Magick++_.dll

But I installed imagemagick and the .dll file mentioned in the error message is right there. However, given this error I can still enter latex formulae, but they are not editable after being entered as claimed on tex text web page, probably due to this error.

I installed tex text in the Inkscape directory and pstoedit in a separate directory. I also added necessary paths in to the system path.

Would anyone help me out?

You should remove ImageMagick and download and install GraphicsMagick instead !

Just copy CORE_RL_magick_.dll and CORE_RL_Magick++_.dll indo your ps2edit folder

I tried the latest graphicsmagick installation. However, the error persists: The DLLs are found but not not the respective entry point.
Any ideas?

I want to use Textext in order to type some equation in LaTex; I have installed Textext 0.4.4 and when I try to use it by doing Effects -> Tex Text , I receive the folloing message :

See TexText using Inkscape0.48 in the textext issue tracker.

Just use Q8 version instead Q16.

I had the exact same problem and what i did i lost whole day on replacing files like dll's and so on then i lost my nerve and reinstalled everything completely and now works fine. (when i say reinstalled everything that includes my OS lol). So if anyone is facing problems that is how i solved it, tho i read online that replacing just dll files should work fine (even tho it didnt work for me, dunno why)
