"Nothing on the clipboard" error

Postby lavius » Tue Nov 30, 2010 1:55 am

Hello,

I'm trying to apply a pattern along a path, but when I cut the path (a rectangular object converted to a path) and try to paste the path from the clipboard onto another path it says "Nothing on the clipboard."

I've tried this several times, on 2 different computers and I'm always getting the same error.

Running OSX Snow Leopard 10.6.4

Any ideas?

Thanks
- lavius

You are experiencing a known conflict between recent X11/Xquartz versions and Inkscape with regard to copy & pasting vector data using the X11/system pasteboard.

Please change the pasteboard settings in the X11 preferences as described in the Inkscape FAQ «Copying and pasting in Inkscape creates pixellated images instead of copying the vector objects».
