I am making a GTA, and with Inkscape I want to make the map. I got all the colors, but I don't know what the best way to get such a map:



I especially want to know how to make the (white) roads.

The larger the original image of the same area the better your details can be.
To get that, you need to create a html file first.
Click on the embed map, copy the html codes, paste it into a notepad, and save it as a html.
Change the size of the area and the zoom level accordingly your needs.
After that, open the html with a browser and use a plugin to take a screenshot of the entire webpage at once.
Tricky, but you can avoid all the stitching.


Other than that I cannot see how the white roads differ from the yellow ones.
Aren't they supposed to lead to Oz too?

When you say GTA, you are talking about the game? You are trying to make a street map for a game?

With Open Street Map, you can share a map of some areas in SVG, or PDF format
https://www.openstreetmap.org/.

However, the times I've used that feature, I've expend many time just editing the shapes, unclipping them (why unneccesary clipping? why, why, here and in another exported SVGs ?), ungrouping, modifying the text, etc.
