font problem - very confused!

Hey there,

I had a search of the forums before hand but couldn't find what I was looking for.

I installed a font on my computer that is working perfectly in other programmes. When I type my text with this font in inkscape it comes up how it should in the preview box but not on my actual canvas. Am I doing something wrong? Why is the text on the canvas not the same as the preview? Is there anyway to fix this? I've restarted my computer and inkscape and the same thing keeps happening.

Any help would be so appreciated!

Not sure why it shows in preview in that thread.

Does it also show for you in font-family that it's not found on system?

This might not be the same issue...

Check the style dropdown menu... might be a face style for the same named font. ("font duo")
