Roland Plotter GX-24

Postby jbart » Fri May 07, 2010 3:41 pm

Hello I am new to the forum and Inkscape, but have been really impressed with the program so far

I have just purchased a Roland GX-24 plotter and when installing the cutting software it asked which version of Adobe Illustrator I had. The only one I had on my mac was CS5 trial version but according to Roland it is to new to work with the Plotter.

Has anyone ever used Inkscape to Vectorize their images and been able to cut directly onto the plotter and if so could you let me know. And please I am novice at all this so explain in detail

Thanks so much.

Jay

I cut from a inkscape using a roland sv12 without any problems on windows XP, Vista is another story altogether, just bough a GX 24 second hand, so really hope this one will work on Vista.

Good luck
