Guides with co-ordinates

In inkscape v0.46, is it possible to create guides using co-ordinates?

Yes.
1 - Drag out a guide.
2 - Mouse-over.
3 - With guide highlighted, double-click.
4 - Enter coordinates in the dialog.
5 - Click OK.
(even works with diagonal guides!)
