Bamboo pen + Inkscape

Postby ghostanime2001 » Tue Aug 14, 2012 5:53 am

I am using a Wacom Bamboo Pen (model: CTL-470) with inkscape to take my lecture notes and handwrite them using calligraphic tool. I have found that drawing "i" are particularly difficult when i want to handwrite a sentence on buffer solutions for example. Is there a way to get the calligrahic tool to write "naturally" like the pen tool in illustrator so I can naturally write like i am writing on paper but with inkscape ?

Illustrator had some problems when i wanted to to draw integrals and the letter g so I stopped using illustrator.

If you refer to drawing the dot of the 'i' easily using the calligraphy tool: No - this is a known "missing" feature in the calligraphy tool context [1], which AFAIU can't be easily realized with the current implementation (inner workings) of that tool:[1] The feature exists in the context of the pencil (freehand) tool ('Ctrl+click' creates a dot relative to the stroke width), as well as in the context of the pen (bézier) tool (in straight line modes).
