Node problem

Postby Amadeus12 » Tue Sep 13, 2011 6:56 pm

I have made a map for wikipedia (http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Saffron_crocus_sativus_production.svg) and I encountered a node-problem.

This image tells the story: http://s938.photobucket.com/albums/ad223/flyingdutchman12/?action=view&current=worldmap.png&newest=1. I want the top corner of India (also known as Kashmir) to be closed. See the selected nodes. So that the endresult could be something like this: http://s938.photobucket.com/albums/ad223/flyingdutchman12/?action=view&current=worldmap_a.png&newest=1.

I don't know if this is possible with Inkscape but it could save me quite some work.

Thanks beforehand.

Have a look at the node tool, specifically the "break path at selected nodes" and the "Join selected endnodes with a new segment". You should be able to go from there.
