hi everyone, i'm new here and new to inkscape as of yesterday;-D

i want to hand sketch caricatures of people and edit them in inkscape. my problem is, i scaned my sketch in and imported it to inkscape and did a trace bit map control and found a billion bits to clean up, and i am not having luck cleaning them up among EVERYTRHING else lol. i have been alover the web looking for answers but nothing really clear.

i want my end result to be a professional colored cartoon caricature of a person. any ideas?

As a new user, you should read the Forum Rules and take note of the third point (you can edit your post title).

You can use the "simplify" feature to intelligently will reduce the number of nodes whilst attempting to maintain the shape.

But A "professional" would either Ink the drawing before scanning to get the result when using a trace function, or they would ink it digitally. If I have someones Inks I'll often cheat and use trace bitmap, but if I have pencils I'll use :tool_pen: and :tool_calligraphic: to Ink it myself.

Or use a pen/tablet such as Wacom. Or is that what micro means by "ink it digitally"?
