lines appearing on cut machine silhouette

DXF file created in inkscape is showing "lines" through some of the letters in my silhouette cut software. Any suggestions?

DXF conversion can be messy. Make sure your letters are all closed in the SVG before saving as DXF. (You may be able to tell if it looks like the extra lines are from trying to close the path.) Also, there are better extensions for saving DXFs for diecutting. Google "Better Better DXF"
