i am trying to make a chef hat with a heart on top but doesn't seem to be able to draw it.could you please give me some direction as to how to start doing it again?i have more but the moment i make heart bigger the bottom looks awkward
i am new to inkscape and not a designer..
the logo doesn't seem to work at all

Otherwise you might need to either learn design and Inkscape or employ someone to design it for you.

Does this work? I chose red to suggest it's a heart, anything else makes it look like a butt

hmmm... For some reason I think I'd be sweet if the "lovers" was the same color as the hat? I dunno, just a suggestion.
It's probably my monitor setting but if not maybe the red should be a little bit less bright.

Basically i am trying to make a logo but when i make it 16px*16px
the details are lost.
any suggestions or advice is welcome.

Hey, maybe i can help you.
I'm working for a personal 16x16 icon set, and a chef hat was a good challenge so this is what i've done:

Prkos looks to have the the right idea, but you maybe need to over emphasise the top 1/3rd or 2/3rds of the heart shape a bit more or reduce the bottom 1/3rd of the hat for the desired effect.

The toque? Its shape is really interesting and it's also pretty hard to make. Good luck on your project!
