Bug? Grid snap fails when pointer is outside window

Yes, that's correct. It's known. I don't think it's a bug because how can Inkscape identify the snap target, if it's outside the canvas. Maybe it technically is a bug, I just don't know. The solution is to scroll the canvas, so that the area you need is visible, or zoom out, or use one of the other several ways of scaling. You are asking for an element - that you can't see - to snap to a grid point - that you also can't see - when you are dragging a cursor that is no longer in the window? Is that correct?
