Being an archaeologist and an ancient Corel user I wonder if there is a way an inkscape way to quickly substitute Corel's Graph Paper Tool, other than the not completely satisfactory "rows and columns" tool?

Can you provide some insight into what this tool does?

I know it's an old thread but I guess someone will come looking for this again.
