Hm, what about colors? Or, maybe, you have just black/white printer in the store?

Did you see the indigo Pony, when he came from other side wall of the night?

As far as I can tell, they are mostly just black. I saw a red womean's tee, and something pink. I also saw a gray man's shirt (can't remember if it was long or short sleeves). Other than that, only black. I don't know why.

To be honest, I don't have a very high opinion of that store. Some dedicated developers spent a lot of time making it the best it can be, given the few options that are apparently available. But to me, it's very limited. I think developers chose it because it's built with open source software. But I hope the project can do better in the future. Again, that's all my opinion, and not any kind of official statement.

Nope. It was chosen because it is widely available in many countries of the world and they do the shipping, and because the quality was okay.

Those who created the shop also selected the available colors. If you want more, let them know (e.g. send a bug report into the new tracker).

In my humble opinion a huge logo on a shirt is not the right way for marketing a product unrelated to clothing.
I'd rather look at featured artist's work than that.

Maybe one of Lazur's patterns on the front and a small Inkscape logo on the back?
Your mind is what you think it is.

I'm not inclined to search my email going back that far (actually I think it's on an old computer anyway), but my recollection is that the choice of Spreadshirt was related somehow to open source. Maybe I'll try the online archive....although it might have been in a personal mail, rather than mailing list.

I've voiced many similar comments about the shop, when it was chosen a few years ago (type of products, colors, how the front page looks, how pages are organized and displayed, how the pages work. I have not personally searched or investigated online shop software, but I've shopped online and seen shops which I would personally prefer.

I think using artwork is a good idea too. Would be great to be able to create our own products and not be limited to a particular store's products.

I think another part of developers' decision about this was that they want something which more or less runs itself. They don't want to have to worry about finding people to take care of it (recruit artists, fill custom orders, commissioning, etc.) Even though I've offered to do that, I guess they're thinking into the future, and don't want to have to find the next person to do it.
