ubuntu 3d
Re: ubuntu 3d
Very nice, joeiwannou! I really like this style of drawing, I could spend all day drawing nothing else. I should try it sometime, lol
I have a couple of comments
Some of the white highlights are inconsistent. I don't know what to call the pieces, but I'll say "cylinders". The one on the bottom doesn't have as strong of a white highlight as the one on top right.
For the circle which has 3 parts, I'll call those "arcs". The bottom edge of the 2 arcs towards the bottom of the image appear to have some blue color mixed with the white highlights, which is inconsistent with the other white highlights. Without having the SVG, I can't say for sure what's causing it. But I would guess that the gradient goes to transparent, and the white mixing with the red looks blue-ish.
You're so creative though, I'm sure you can sort it out
I can't wait to see how the image progresses.

Re: ubuntu 3d
Not bad, but I think the gradients are "too strong". I think you could improve your drawing (make it more realistic) by using much more subtle gradients: go from red to light red instead of red to white.
I use Inkscape 0.48 on Ubuntu 12.04.
English is not my natural language so excuse my mistakes.
