Is there an Airbrush tool in Inkscape?

Any way to get a soft airbrush spray out of a vector paint brush in AI or Flash? you know, like a regular photoshop airbrush that creates a long stroke with soft edges. Can you do that in Flash or even AI, if you know the answer to that too.

Inkscape does have a Spray tool , but it doesn't work exactly like spray tools in raster programs work, and neither is it exactly like a brush. You can experiment with all the various settings, and here's the manual info on it: Basics - Help menu > Tutorials
