I realize this probably isn't the "Inkscape help" this board is meant for, but I can't find a solution anywhere. I downloaded the installer (I'm on Windows 8.1) and the download completed successfully. However, when I go to the Downloads folder and try to open it, it asks for permission then does nothing. I have tried running as administrator, re-downloading, and googling for an answer. The best help I could find was re-install it, but obviously that doesn't make sense in my situation. Do you guys have any ideas whatsoever? I really need this to work so I can create some mechanical keyboard layouts.

Id check security settings, firewall, antivirus...
