Hi,
I import 6 eps file in a new Inkscape document. I wrote some text under the figures, and i export the whole file in eps format. I checked the "convert text into path", but the text doesn't appear in the final eps.
Have someone an idea ?
Thans in advance,
Nicolas
problem with eps
Re: problem with eps

Welcome Nicolas!
I'm not sure what's going wrong. But I'm thinking you could try converting all the text to paths, while it's still in Inkscape. So then when you do Save As, the conversion process does not have to handle any text.
That should work, but let us know if it doesn't

Re: problem with eps
Do you mean that you can't draw a line or shape (such as rectangle) in the Inkscape file with imported EPS? Or do you mean that after you draw it and Save As EPS, it doesn't show up?
Aaarrrrgghh!! I get so confused with all these different formats. Ok, EPS format can have either vector content, or raster content, or both. But I'm not sure if raster vs vector is an issue with this problem.
Could you upload one of the EPS files? Then we can test importing, adding text, and saving as EPS. Although that said, I don't have any programs which can open an EPS file. So I would not be able to see the result.
But I don't understand why converting the text to path, in Inkscape, before Saving As EPS, doesn't work. It really should. Ok, well try this. After you import the EPS and add the text, convert the text to path, and then Save As SVG. Then try to Save As EPS. Sometimes that helps, but not always.
Let us know if that helps. If not, someone else will have to jump in here, to help. I'm just not very strong on mixing different formats in one file.
