Postby ragstian » Sun Oct 21, 2012 9:03 am

Hi.

I have made a guide for setting the height of the EGGBOT arm.

What is EGGBOT? http://evilmadscience.com/productsmenu/ ... 71-egg-bot

Hi Ragnar,
Nice -- I like the spider webbish one!

I did try to look at some of the images you had previously shown (in this message) one at a time, and I don't know why they weren't showing. But to be clear, I saw the links (in the message), but the Dropbox page was blank. In the other post you have active right now, I learned that to see the PDF, I had to click Download. So I came back to this topic, to see if I would need to do the same thing for the PNGs. But I see you've edited this message by now.

Sometimes when I open one of these forum pages which contain images inserted into messages, I see only the word "Image", and it's indistinguishable from regular text. That's using Firefox. With IE, I would see the little red X inside a placeholder. With IE, I would see that for any SVG image, because my IE is older and can't display them. But if I see "Image" in Ff, it seems to be that the image just didn't get loaded for some reason. If I refresh the page, the image usually does show up. (There's one topic here which has some approx minute long animated images. Those sometimes take 2 or 3 refreshes, but they do eventually show up.) I don't know if the problem is with the forum host or the image host.

Hi brynn

This is strange as it sort of works in my browsers - but I can't get the image to show when I use the [img]Picture.link[/img] tags.
This puzzles me as I can see other images on your forum which uses Dropbox as well.

I experimented by inserting an image link "Dictum Mortuum" used in one of his posts, they worked OK but mine failed - might be something on the dropbox side? I have "Googled"for a solution but not found one yet.

EDIT. - Got the links sorted - steep learning curve for an old man!
Good Luck!
